Explore Talent Auditions: Audition Online at Explore Talent! When you seek to explore talent auditions, you must be ready to be the most prepared as there are hundreds and hundreds of young talent out there, just like you, who are more prepared and ready to go. So, what you need to realize is that every time you think you are the most prepared for an audition, think about how there are a ton of other actors, just like yourself, who think the same thing and most assuredly prepared ten times harder than you did. So, the point is, give it your all and then some. For example, when given a script for the audition, make sure to read the whole script (and not just your lines) because the more you read it through and through, the more knowledge you will have about the character (as well as the entire project) before the audition and that will be the best way to get into the character. Knowledge is power…always. To explore a talent audition, you will want to tap into the character’s voice and get the most understanding of how to play that part. A very important factor in this process is that you might have five different ways to read the lines in the audition, but you must do it the way you feel most comfortable. It doesn’t matter if that’s not how the casting director saw the part being read, they will at least see your talent as opposed to a bad performance (and that is what will happen if you become uncomfortable during the audition).
When you go to explore a talent agency audition, you need to forget about them representing you, forget about if they are going to sign you on the spot or not and definitely forget that someone is judging you on your performance and talents. You must simply go in with a relaxed attitude. Just be relaxed before, after and during an audition. Just have fun and think of this as playtime and you will become more relaxed than you could ever have imagined. That is the simple key to going into an audition (for representation or a role in a project) and nailing it right off the bat. Think about it – you used to perform as a little kid just for fun, right? Just because money is involved now and you are becoming an adult (or some of you are adults already) doesn’t mean you have to lose the key part of why you decided to go after this kind of career in the first place. Most of you are doing it because you love to act. You love to perform. You are excited to explore talent auditions. So, give it your all and enjoy yourself every time you audition. |
